| Becoming a christian was the biggest change in my life besides becoming schizophrenic. I was initially very protestant in thought and in actions, not understanding the catholic ways even though my family was baptised as catholics. I even went to Bible studies ran by The Anglican Church. I got nothing against them. I just think that the Catholic Religion is more fulfilling. |
| I met a lovely girl who ran a club called the Faith And Reason club in Second year of my university days. She was a Catholic very staunch and very serious about her religion. She was very knowledgable and I learnt a lot from her. I became an executive of the club and have been for three years until it folded last year. I was also an executive of another club. I began to understand the Catholic Religion and realised the truth it contain. It had a strong link from the days of the Apostles till now, the Pope being a successor of the very first leader of the apostles, Saint Peter. Don't believe me? Check it out on the web or in any Catholic encyclopedia, it's an unbroken chain of the papacy since the beginning of christianity. |
| Unlike what many protestants believed, the Catholic religion was actually very biblical if not even more so than other of the same religion but different denominations. It is also the one single church, not the 53 000 plus churchs that the protestants has which all believe in their different beliefs which is why they separated in the first place. But proclaiming the Faith was not the reason why I am writing this web page anyway, so forgive me for digressing. |
| I am now taking Zoloft an antidepresent, and Stelazine and Zyprexa which are both antipsychotic drugs specifically used for schizophrenia. Unfortunately I might have to use these for the rest of my life as I am yet to fully recover. |
