HORS’N AROUND SCHOOLING FUN SHOW

MAY 5, 2002 AT 10:00AM

ALL HORSE BREEDS, COLORS, SHAPES AND SIZES WELCOME!

ALL PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT THE ONTARIO PINTO HORSE ASSOCIATION

ENTRY FEES: $5.00 per class OR $20.00 for the Whole Day!!

YOUTH: Rider under 18 years of age as of January 1st. OPEN : Rider of any age.

Class List:

1. Open Halter -Judged strictly on the horse’s conformation.

2.* Youth Showmanship Western-Judged on the safe handling & presentation of the horse.

3. Open Showmanship-see class #2 for description

15 Minute Break

4. Leadline-For riders 9yrs old and under. Rider must be led by an experienced handler.

5. Walk, Jog/Trot (English or Western)-For riders of any age who are not quite ready for Canter/Lope. Young riders may be lead.

6.* Youth English Pleasure-Judged as a pleasure horse on performance and manners.

7.* Open English Pleasure-see class #6 for description.

8. Open English Equitation-Judged on the riders equitation while executing a pattern.

9. Open Hunter Hack-Two fences to be jumped 2' maximum. Cross rails may be requested.

LUNCH BREAK

***MOTHER’S LEAD LINE CLASS -To commemorate Mothers Day! A chance for those hard-working show moms to strut their stuff while being lead by their child. (This is a Free Class! No experience necessary!)

10. Open Trail-Judged on the ability to negotiate obstacles in a pattern.

11.* Youth Western Pleasure-Judged as a pleasure horse on performance and manners.

12.* Open Western Pleasure-see class #11 for description.

13. Open Western Horsemanship-Judged on the riders equitation executing a pattern.

14. Open Command Class-Judged on the prompt response of the judges commands.

15. Open Ride a Buck-A piece of paper will be placed under the riders leg and the last rider who can maintain the paper is the winner.

16. Open Catalogue Race-Retrieve a page number from catalogue. Fastest time wins.

17. Open Steady Hand-Each rider is given glass of water. Most water left at the end wins.

18. Open Barrel Race-Triangle barrel pattern. Fastest time wins.

19. Open Pole Bending-Weaving through poles pattern. Fastest time wins.

20. Open Flag Race-Rider must retrieve and deposit a flag from a barrel. Fastest time wins.
