the vision
The female form is a total sensory celebration of what is beautiful and pleasing.  The curves, the rise and fall, the folds, the indentations, the sweep...all come together in this magnificent piece of art.

Many percieve nudity or even just the idea of using a woman's form for art's sake as a perversion.  But what if the artist was a woman herself?

My fascination for women as subject may be due to the very matriarchal environment I was brought up in.  For as far as I can remember, my grandmothers were
the masters of their  households.  They have both outlived my grandfathers for two decades and running.  My own mother was the brain and brawn in the family, too.  As for my siblings, my sister and I have always been the ones driven by ambition to do well in life.

Being a female artist doing female nudes is easy.  Prospective models don't bat their eyelashes when I ask them to pose for me.
Now, if only I had the time.

Juggling a full-time job, a household to run, a kid to take care of and a husband to entertain i have almost no time left for my passion: painting or drawing WOMEN.

There was a time I thought it was odd of me to always draw women (my old bestfriend Madeleine Santos was into landscapes).  Actually I was even ashamed of showing them to anybody because I thought my drawings were tacky...commonplace and meaningless.  But I kept doing it anyway.

My biggest dream is to put up a series of work on women in their various professions.
Well, there's a dream and here's my reality.  If only I had time...
