| This was the first collection I ever put together. I used my automatic practica zoom camera which had a double exposure mode. To make the collection more meaningful, I wrote a poem, in simialr styles for each photograph. The book does not hae a theme, it simply marrks the starting point of my love for photography. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| A more creative insight to presenting my photography! I hand bound this book and made each page out of a different type of paper. The actual photographs lack technical knowledge, and I was still using a automatic 35mm, but the arty side of the book compensated for this making a very interesting photographic sketch book, full of the 2003 leftovers!! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The style of this photograph book was inspired b yJohn Hedgecoe. His photography manuals show examples of photographs and then he explains how to use the technique shown. So this book had explainations for most photographs and I tried to cover as many themes and techniques as possible, my favourite being multiple exposure!!!! By this time I had just started using my Cannon EOS 300v SLR, and was getting to know it by using the idiot modes!!! |

I was aiming for simplicity and didnt want text or information to distract from the mood of the photographs. I am also putting together another book style collection, which will be called 'explorations in photography. It will be the ultimate collection, combining camera techniques, themes and presentation techniques together to make a portfolio of my work, together with explainations of how I did it and many different kinds of presentation, nicked from each previous collection.
