You're at your first scenario event ever. You're all pumped up and excited about the story and all the props involved in the game. You're moving along with your squad when suddenly a big slow moving monster known as the PAINT-TANK appears. Now rather than getting scared, losing your cool, and getting eliminated by this so-called beast, listen to a few tips and strategies to help you survive in a battle against a tank. Part 1: Evading Tanks When you first see a tank, you should clear the way. Tanks usually stay in the open areas and on designated roads. If traveling with a group, try to avoid these paths and find alternate routes. But there will inevitably be times that it becomes necessary to cross paths with a tank. Remember to never take a tank head on. Try to use bushes or other cover to hide in and wait until the tank passes. Once it is gone, flee the area if necessary. If at all possible, stay in wooded areas. Tanks are large and can't follow you into the woods, and most smart tank operators won't attempt to shoot into the woods. Also, when moving close to tanks, try to keep yourself in their blind spots or at least stay away from their turrets. Overall the basic strategies of evading tanks are to try to avoid tank paths, hide and take cover when tanks are passing, and stay in the woods to decrease your chances of being eliminated by a tank. Part 2: Eliminating Tanks In most cases, eliminating a tank is impossible to do with a standard paint marker. Instead, paintball styled rocker launchers must be used. Knowing when and how to aim your launcher is a very important part of elminating a tank. However, the process is more complex than just aiming down a barrel. You must be comfortable with the range and accuracy of your launcher because most launchers have an effective range of only 30-50 feet. The best way to take out a tank is to set up a ambush. First, you must determine the most frequent routes of your target. Then find cover in that area and wait for the tank to come. When the tank rolls by, take aim with your launcher and fire. Be sure to aim for the target that the tank should have on its side. However, if you don't have time to setup an ambush, the best thing to do is take cover and wait for the tank to come to you. Don't attempt to assualt the tank because the odds of you eliminating the tank and surviving are minimal. Always wait for the tank to come to you. Overall, fighting a tank is simple if you take cover and pick routes the tank can't follow. The more you play, the more you'll realize that the tank is quite limited to what it can do. However, don't underestimate a tank's abilities; it can be very devastating to your forces. Take every precaution when eliminating a tank. Play it safe, stick together, and take that tank out.
