During the development of the Jotun Valkyrie, several components consisted of existing or modified parts used for the Super Valkyrie. The NP-AR-02 is a modified version of the Super Valkyrie's NP-AR-01 arm module, capable of carrying four Boeing HMM-02 Starburst high explosive short-range missiles (SRMs). One module is located on each arm. The modules also provide extra protection to the arms from missile strikes. The modules are commonly mounted on the Jotun Valkyrie.

• Missile types: Any type of SRM may be used, typically high explosive SRMs.
• Range: Varies with missile type, typically 2 miles (3.2 km).
• Damage: Varies with missile type, typically 2D4x10 M.D.
• Rate of fire: Volleys of 1 or 2 per module, up to 4 maximum.
• Payload: 4 per module, up to 8 maximum.
