November's Turkey Charm Challenge!

As some of you may know, I have been taking part in the Couch To 5K Challenge, which is posted on both the Newbie & Challenge Central Board, by Kfordahl:)

So, in keeping with that, I have decided to bring that training in to my November Turkey Charm Challenge and then to run in the Thanksgiving Day 1K Gobbler Trot held locally!:) I wanted to do a Fun Run on Thanksgiving Day, but one that would not risk any injury for our Cruise a couple days later!:)

Watch for photos from this fun run, as well as announcement of when the Candlight 5K Run is, next year, as I will be running my very first 5K at that time!:)


Rules and other info:

1.) I am using the Couch To 5K Training Schedule, found at Cool Runnings!

2.) Starting Monday, November 3rd and running until the end of November - I will be following the training schedule I am already on, that being 3 times a week, on Mon., Wed., & Fri.

Being I will be in my 6th week of training by then, my November training schedule for this Exercise Challenge will be:

November 3: Brisk 5 min. warm up walk, Jog 5 min., Walk 3 min., Jog 8 min., Walk 3 min., Jog 5 min.
November 5: Brisk 5 min. warm up walk, Jog 10 min., Walk 3 min., Jog 10 minutes.
November 7: Brisk 5 min. warm up walk, Jog 25 minutes (no walking inbetween)
November 10: Brisk 5 min. warm up walk, Jog 25 minutes.
November 12: Brisk 5 min. warm up walk, Jog 25 minutes.
November 14: Brisk 5 min. warm up walk, Jog 25 minutes.
November 17: Brisk 5 min. warm up walk, Jog 28 minutes.
November 19: Brisk 5 min. warm up walk, Jog 28 minutes.
November 21: Brisk 5 min. warm up walk, Jog 28 minutes.
November 24: Brisk 5 min. warm up walk, Jog 30 minutes.
November 26: Brisk 5 min. warm up walk, Jog 30 minutes.
November 27: Thanksgiving Day: Run in 1K Gobbler Trot This Morning!:)
November 28: Brisk 5 min. warm up walk, Jog 30 minutes.
 

3.) This time I am working towards earning Silver Turkey Charm! LOL:)))

Remember, I have been taking part in this training since September, but if you are just beginning you will want to follow the training schedule from week one, so as to work up to it gradually and to avoid any injuries!:)



My Challenge rules are different from last month's - I must train 3 days a week, Mon., Wed., & Fri.,  through out the month of November AND run in the 1K Gobbler Trot on Thanksgiving Day, in order to earn this special charm!:) Tuesdays and Thursdays are for resting up from training. Weekends are for general activities, like bowling, walking, wall climbing, etc. Check back often as this page will be updated daily!:)
