Belly Dancing Charm Challenge!

Wow, February's Exercise Charm Challenge really showed me what I was made of and it felt like most of it was muscle! LOL :) Yes, I am sore but I am very happy with myself too!:) I saw what I wanted, gave myself the challenge in order to earn it and then I completed that challenge! No better feeling!!:)

So, won't you please join me in my March Challenge?? :)


Here are the rules and other info:

1.) I am using the introduction Belly Dancing - Basic Moves - by Veena & Neena  ( I bought mine at my local Target store. You can use what ever video you'd like:)

2.) Starting Monday, March 3 rd and running until the end of March - do your Belly Dancing Video
     every week day through out that month. Weekends are for what ever other activities you'd like.
    (if you can't do it every week day, then just do it as many times a week as you can, that's ok!)

3.) Yes there is a Belly Dancer Charm available for purchase at:  Blue Dolphin Gold

4.) If you are getting the charm, please remember it does not go on your bracelet, necklace, etc., until
     the end of March, after the Challenge has been completed! :)

5.) Someone will post a thread the start of each week in March for check in on the Newbie Board and
     on the Challenge Central Board. Let everyone know how you are doing then!:)

6.) Basic Steps is a low impact 30 minute work out which gives you 2 Activity Points. If the video you
     are using is a high impact 30 minute one, then that comes in at 3 Activity Points.

Please feel free to join this fun challenge even if you can't do the video five days a week. We'd love to have you!:) Most of all though everyone - have FUN with it!!:)))
 
The back of this 30 minute video reads:

"The program is easy to learn, will thoroughly exercise your body from head to toes but is low impact, relaxing, stimulating and fun." It also says I will find it to be the most pleasurable work out that I will have ever experienced! 

Basically, I am taking all of that to mean that my belly will be sore as all get out but will eventually look nicer than it does now! LOL :)

And what Charm are we working towards this month? Oh come on, a silver Belly Dancer Charm, of course!

My Challenge rules are the same as last month's - I must exercise every week day through out the month of March in order to earn this charm being placed on to my charm bracelet!:) Weekends are for general activities, like bowling, walking, etc. Check back often as this page will be updated daily!:)

March 5: Wow! This video doesn't look as intense as it feels!:) The first day, it kicked my butt! LOL:) But now, I can actually feel some muscles working that I never knew I had! I love this work out!:) I just ordered another video, a music cd and a matching waist scarf from their web site!:))))



March 12: Did another Belly Dancing video this evening too! Did the Basic Dance by Veena and Neena. It's a 45 minute video that takes you through a warm up and some dance moves and then through a choreographed dance! Was very cool but really worked me out! :)


March 13: Allergies or some kind of virus hit me today. Feeling a little out of it, but still got my work out in:) Did it while hubby was here with me:) Love his support!!:))))


March 28: Wow, only one more day to go on this challenge, after today! Has it been almost one month already?? My hips and tummy are looking and feeling great and I am really in love with this work out now! I think I am going to do the Hula Work Out in the mornings in April and still continue on with this Belly Dancing Work Out at night too!! So my tummy will get twice the work out that is has been!:)


March 30: Though I normally don't exercise on the weekend, I did my Walk Away The Pounds 2 Mile walk, with weights, this evening. After doing Belly Dancing all month long, this 2 mile walk was so easy to do!:) I did miss my hip circles though! LOL :)


March 31: Today is the last day of this challenge! When I first started this challenge on March 3rd, I wondered if I'd make it through to the end. LOL :) By the end of the second week, I fell in love with this work out!!:) And now, even though my Hula Challenge begins tomorrow (April 1st), I am still going to continue on doing this work out 5 days a week, in the evenings, through out the month of April, while doing my Hula Work Out 5 days a week, in the mornings, as well:)))) I just love the way it makes me feel!!:))) Thanks Veena and Neena!!:))) My belly dancer charm will be going on my bracelet tonight!!:)
