Hula Dancing Charm Challenge!

Wow, March's Belly Dancing Charm Challenge has come to an end now and it has really worked my stomach and hips!! I loved the way I felt after completing this work out too!! I will continue on with my Belly Dancing at nights and on weekends, as I enjoy doing it that much, but now it's time for the next month's challenge to start to take shape, so, won't you please join me in my April Challenge?? :)


Here are the rules and other info:

1.) I am using the Hula Work Out For Beginner's by Kili video. ( I bought mine online at Amazon.com,  but we have also seen them at our local Target store. Please read the video cover carefully when purchasing it to make sure it says "For Beginners," as there is an advanced video out there as well.

2.) Starting Tuesday, April 1st and running until the end of April - do your Hula Dancing Video
     every week day through out that month. Weekends are for what ever other activities you'd like.
    (if you can't do it every week day, then just do it as many times a week as you can, that's ok!)

3.) Yes there is a Hula Dancer Charm available for purchase online. By going to Yahoo.com and doing a  search on Hula Dancer Charms, you will have a wide variety of sites to choose from. You can also find them on e-bay as well. Check around, as prices vary.

4.) If you are getting the charm, please remember it does not go on your bracelet, necklace, etc., until
     the end of April, after the Challenge has been completed! :)

5.) Someone will post a thread the start of each week in April for check in on the Newbie Board and
     on the Challenge Central Board. Let everyone know how you are doing then!:)

6.) Hula Work Out For Beginner's is a 40 minute work out which gives you 2 Activity Points. If the video you are using is a high impact one, such as the Hula Work Out For Weight Loss, then that comes in at 3 Activity Points.

Please feel free to join this fun challenge even if you can't do the video five days a week. We'd love to have you!:) Most of all though everyone - have FUN with it!!:)))

My Challenge rules are the same as last month's - I must exercise every week day through out the month of April in order to earn this charm being placed on to my charm bracelet!:) Weekends are for general activities, like bowling, walking, etc. Check back often as this page will be updated daily!:)

April 1: Ok, no joke, this video kicked my butt! LOL :) Just when I got used to the Belly Dancing Twins, along comes Kili, with her deceiving sweet smile, and her "up to tempo" hips that are going to take some time to keep up with!:) But I actually found myself laughing during this work out! Granted, a couple of the laughs were the "you want me to do what?!" types, LOL, but I also found myself thoroughly enjoying the movements and the Hula Rock song as well!!:) This is the kind of exercise challenge that I love!!:))) Ok, one day down and only 21 more to go!:) Give me strength! LOL :)

April 2: Well, I am still sweating and breathing hard from my morning work out, LOL, but I actually kept up a little bit better this morning, so that was cool:) Plus the cramps I was having when I started the work out (from that "time") are now almost all gone! Go figure!:) Added bonus from work out, I guess!:))

April 7: Wow, this work out does wonders for you when you are feeling down! I was kind of out of it this morning and realized I had two ways to go. I could either cry or do my work out. So I popped the dvd in, cranked up the volume on the tv set, and put all I had in to the hula rock. Know what?? I think that was one of the best feeling work outs I have ever had!!:)) Sitting here all sweaty and out of breath <grin> but not feeling sorry for myself any longer!:) After I update these pages, it's on to a nice warm shower for me and then the house work awaits!:) Kili, you have a kick butt work out on this dvd girl and I, for one, truly appreciate that fact this morning!:))))

April 11: Wow, nine days in to this challenge already?! The very first day I did this work out, I thought to myself "there's no way I can do this!" LOL :) But, yesterday afternoon, I actually got to perform the hula rock dance for my hubby and he thought I did it really well !!:) Me too!!:) LOL :) My legs are so weak after doing the work out but, by later in the day, they feel even stronger! Ok Kili, you got me hooked!:)


April 15: Woke up this morning feeling a little out of it, think it's from allergies as the pollen counts have been so high these past few days, but there was never a doubt in my mind that I would get today's work out in. Started off slowly and then built momentum as I went along with the routine. Now, sitting here, sweaty and breathing heavy but feeling even better about myself because I DID it:)

April 29: Wow, can I be coming to the end of this challenge already?? When I first started doing this work out I thought to myself "OMG, what have I done??" LOL :) Because it really kicked my butt the first few days, but this morning I told my hubby that I can't believe I am almost done with it, and just how much I am going to miss doing the Hula Rock and the Hula Rock Momma song! LOL :) May's Challenge starts on Thursday and, luckily for me, I have chosen to stay with Kili, just moving up to her Weight Loss Work Out video now. So by Friday morning, I will most likely be back to the "OMG, what have I done??" phase once more! LOL :) I really do love these work outs though as they are so much FUN!:)

April 30: OMG!! This challenge is over today!! Wow! I can not believe I did it!! But I am just SO Proud of myself right now!!:))) Ok, bring on May's Challenge, I am SO Ready!!:))))))))) Woo-Hoo!!:)))))
