Hawaiian Lei Charm Challenge!

Wow, April's Hula Dancing Charm Challenge is over and it really worked my legs and hips!! I loved the way I felt after completing this work out!! So, I will continue on with my Hula Dancing now through the month of May.

Ahh, but not just any Hula video will do, so I am moving up to the Weight Loss Hula Work Out by Kili now!!:) Won't you join me in this pumped up challenge??:)


Here are the rules and other info:

1.) I am using the Weight Loss Hula Work Out by Kili video. ( I bought mine online at our local Target store. If you have never done one of Kili's hula videos, may I suggest starting with her Hula Work Out for Beginner's video? Her work outs are quite intense and it's best to start off slow at first. Please read the video cover carefully when purchasing it to make sure it says "For Beginners.".)

2.) Starting Thursday, May 1st and running until the end of May - do your Hula Dancing Video
     every week day through out that month. Weekends are for what ever other activities you'd like.
    (if you can't do it every week day, then just do it as many times a week as you can, that's ok!)

3.) I am working towards a Silver Lei Charm, being I already have my Hula Dancer Charm now:) (Yes there is a Hula Dancer Charm available for purchase online, if you don't already have one. By going to Blue Mud  - where I am also ordering my Lei Charm from:) You can also find them on e-bay as well. Check around, as prices vary.

4.) If you are getting the charm, please remember it does not go on your bracelet, necklace, etc., until
     the end of May, after the Challenge has been completed! :)

5.) Someone will post a thread the start of each week in April for check in on the Newbie Board and
     on the Challenge Central Board. Let everyone know how you are doing then!:)

6.) Weight Loss Hula Work Out by Kili is a 30 minute work out which gives you 3 Activity Points. If the video you are using is a low impact one, such as the Hula Work Out For Beginner's, then that comes in at 2 Activity Points.

Please feel free to join this fun challenge even if you can't do the video five days a week. We'd love to have you!:) Most of all though everyone - have FUN with it!!:)))

My Challenge rules are the same as last month's - I must exercise every week day through out the month of May in order to earn this charm being placed on to my charm bracelet!:) Weekends are for general activities, like bowling, walking, etc. Check back often as this page will be updated daily!:)

May 1: WOW! I just completed my first work out using this newest video this morning and I LOVE it! Kicks, turns, jumps, grapevines - it has it all:))))) I am excited to get back to this video tomorrow!!:)



May 9: I am surprised how quickly I am picking this routine up! I also love the fact that, when I am feeling stressed, I reach for this video now and not for food!!:))) The Sunshine Hula song really cheers me up and the work out leaves me feeling tired but Great!!:))))


May 19: I can't believe I am over half way through this month's work out already!! Where has the time gone? This morning I even had my 32nd weigh in. I have been On Program for 8 months now! I swear it feels like it did when I first started it! I have never gotten bored with the program or with my daily work outs. That amazes me!:) Why didn't I start all of this sooner?? Well, I am never quitting it, that's for sure!:)))))


May 30: I'm actually going to miss working out with Kili, LOL :) This work out really worked my hips, stomach and legs and also showed me a sense of balance that I never had before! Did you know that I can stand on one leg, with the other one held up behind me, without falling over?? LOL!! Neither did I!!! LOL :) Ok, on to June's Challenge now!!:))))
