My Weight Watcher's Photo Shoot!

November 4, 2004:

My husband, Tom, and I arrive at LaGuardia airport in New York City!

It was out very first time in the "Big Apple" so we were both excited about going there!

We grabbed a taxi and we were on our way to our hotel!

David Letterman

We stayed at the Ameritania hotel, on W. 54th and Broadway, right around the corner from where they film The Late Show with David Letterman!

Times Square was in walking distance so, even though it was raining when we arrived that night, we headed out the door for some sight seeing!

By the way, this was the same night that David Letterman exploded a gigantic pumpkin outside his theater! Being our hotel was right around the corner, the explosion scared me so bad that I almost needed to go shopping for new underwear that same night! LOL!! Talk about an "explosive" welcome to the City! LOL :)

Times Square was so cool!! There were huge billboards, banners, television screens and monitors everywhere!!

We got to see the ABC building, where Good Morning America is broadcast from, and we got to check out the marquis for all the latest Broadway Shows!

Below are a couple more pictures of Times Square. That's me under the umbrella by the Mamma Mia sign! It really was pouring that night! We ended up buying two umbrellas there, just so we could take in some sights!

The next morning it was off to the Photo Shoot! We grabbed a taxi and zoomed over to the Studio!

Everyone there was so wonderful! I had a stylist working on my hair and make-up and a clothes stylist picking out my wardrobe!

We got to chat with people who worked on the Weight Watchers web site and we finally got to meet Liz, who had set this all up for us!

The professional photographer was awesome! She put me right at ease and had me laughing and relaxing in no time!

We talked and laughed with everyone there and the only part about it that we didn't like was when it came time to leave afterwards!

That entire day there was all so Cinderella Like!!

They tell you to arrive without your hair styled, with no make-up on and preferably wearing a button down shirt for ease of changing and getting ready without messing everything up once you are all ready for your shoot.

So I arrived in my baggy, comfy jeans and a baggy button down shirt. I had a baseball cap on when I first got there because, if I don't do something with my hair first thing in the morning I look quite the fright! LOL!!

And with the rainy weather, my hair was climbing up on top of my head ala' french poodle style! LOL!

Here I am getting my make-up and hair done!

I almost cried when I looked in to the mirror afterwards! OMG they had made me look so Beautiful!!

I told them it was just like being on that television show, "The Swan," but without having to go through all that plastic surgery! LOL!!! :)

And here I am getting ready to step in front of the camera!

Talk about your extreme make-overs! LOL!! I look nothing like I did when I arrived there that morning - I look better!!

My make-up is done, my hair is flat ironed and shiny, the outfit picked out for me really shows off my skinny legs and I found out that buying ankle cut jeans will actually make my legs look longer! And that is great news for a shorty like me! LOL :)

And now, it's time to "Vogue!" LOL :)

These are the pictures my hubby took with our camera. Just wait until you see the professional one when it goes up on the Weight Watchers.Com site!

That photographer really knew her business!!! :)

Below are a couple of more shots that hubby took of me!:)
