"My Choice"

I had a unique choice to make:
follow my family or my heart.
My choice was to follow my heart.

My choice was not very difficult.
I had already chosen to be myself
and that meant my heart ruled.

My family has directed my life
for the past several years, but
I am actually my own person.

My choice is your love, your acceptance,
your partnership, and just simply you.
I love you and need to be with you.

My choice is to follow my heart,
and it leads me to you, my love;
forever and always to eternity.

You will always be my choice;
I will remember the love
you showed for the rest of my life.
