I had somewhat high hopes for this movie. However, with god-awful lines like "Well, I'm kinda wired. Let's say we go back to your place and I eat your p*ssy." This couldn't be anything but a flop. It was only fun to laugh at. Everytime they showed the shark, it was roaring. And they used a lot of stock great white footage, instead of relying on the CGI shark. The CGI shots of the shark were quite decent, but there weren't enough of them to make up for the enlarged and exagerated GWS footage. (I was informed many of the shots that appear as stock footage, were in fact CGI shots, but they had to make the CGI shark, look like the other shots so it would be seemless.) I know I'm not alone in the sentiment, had they gone straight CGI (which they should've), the baby meg could've looked like a megalodon shark instead of an adult white. I'll revise, and re-write this review shortly. In the mean time, if you rent this movie, take it for what it's worth. A good laugh, and a cheesy flick. |
