| Big brother stars in town for Boulder Cup Presenter: Jarrod Watt & Cassie Grant Saturday, 7 September 2002 Presenters Cassie Grant and Jarrod Watt chat with celebrities Marty and Jess on the morning of the Boulder Cup in the ABC Goldfields Esperance studios. Two of the stars from the tv gameshow dropped in to the ABC Goldfields Esperance studios for a chat about the Boulder Cup and living in the outback. It may well have been a passing pop cultural phenomenon, but the celebrity spotlight continues to shine on two of the stars of the Big Brother tv series. Marty and Jess flew in to Kalgoorlie-Boulder for the second big weekend of horse racing as part of the annual Race Round series; while no cracking of bullwhips was possible in the narrow confines of the ABC studio, Toodyay's most famous son and his belle from the east coast were most enthusiastic on indulging in the famous culture of the Goldfields. Discussion ranged from the strange experience of becoming full-time celebrities to race day fashion tips from Jess, who declared space boots and denim and 'accessorising until your head almost falls off' as the go for the ladies. The Kalgoorlie-Boulder Race Round continues throughout the week with a special ABC broadcast from the race course for the Hannan's Handicap, and the final day of racing including the Kalgoorlie Cup.
