Her lashes plastered to her cheek
Glistening with unfallen tears
How he wishes that they could go back
Turn back to earlier years
The sight of her with tears in her eyes
Still makes his heart break in two
Hates being the cause of pain
With the things he chooses to do
He reaches out to comfort her
But she just pushes him away
He knows that he needs to leave
When all he wants is to stay
She hears his footsteps fade away
And her heart stops in her chest
He is the one who loves her
Above all of the rest
She calls his name in a whisper
Broken and far from loud
Just the sound of her voice is enough
To make him turn around
He wraps his arms around her
And her tears come faster than before
The world feels beyond perfect
He doesn't know if he could want more
