"Our lifespan is like the burning candle,
before it burns off,
we can pass it on to light the
life of other candles.
So that we can make a difference
in this world"
--by Mei Chin--

May all your good dreams
that you wish for come true
and may every moment of your life
filled with kindness,
peace and Happiness always ^^
--Mei Chin JULY 2003

FEW GOOD QUOTES TO SHARE WITH YOU:
"Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness; kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile." ----(By Mother Teresa 1910-1997) Founder, Missionaries of Charity

Reflection: I like this quote very much!!
But I think...God or Buddha...it doesn't really matter...all from one
heart of kindness and true compassion. Long live compassion!!

"There are some people who have the quality of richness and joy in them and they communicate it to everything they touch. It is first of all a physical quality; then it is a quality of the spirit." ---By Thomas Wolfe (1900-1938) America novelist

"A man is happy so long as he chooses to be happy and nothing can stop him"-- ---By Alexander Solzhenitsyn (b. 1918) Russian Writer

"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us." ----By Helen Keller (1880-1968) American writer and lecturer

"The search for happiness is one of the chief sources of unhappiness."--By Eric Hoffer (1902-1983) American philosopher.

"One joy scatters a hundred griefs.--Chinese Proverb

"For every minute you are angry you lose sixty seconds of happiness.---Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882) American essayist and poet.

"He who binds to himself a joy, Does the winged life destroy; But he who kisses the joy as it flies, Lives in Eternity's sunrise.--By William Blake (1757-1827) English Poet

May we not become slave of money, wealth, fame and power. Instead, may we know how to use the money to do more for others and not for our own and selfish enjoyment. For us, more $$$ might meant greater comfort, bigger cars, nicer clothings etc...but for many MONEY $$ equals LIFE.

BIG PLAN AHEAD:
I would like to gather people from all around the world

To save up $$ and pull together funds to Help those who need it the most:

(1)Hunger kids throughout the world/ freeing people from suffering
(2)Helping those people who's suffering from drought, and natural disasters.
(3)Building schools that teaches essential living skills, the concept of
compassion, filial piety and attain true happiness by discovering the art
of living.
(4)Building a senior home that provides not only housing and care but also
with a good library and facilities to help people in cultivating
happiness, with a mental support.

This is my own little dream....I know it takes effort and a long time to succeed. I also know I can't achieve this solely by myself.

So I need to gather more people and friends who have the same dream and
direction....I need people and friends around the world who can make this
dream come true.

If this is possible, and in every spot on earth has this later station
that answer to those people who's suffering...wouldn't that be great!!

Please tell your friends...let's get together...tell me your dreams...if
we happen to walk the same path...why not pull our compassion and heart
together...to make history...to help more people..!!! Thank you so much!!

NO JUNK MAIL Please!!! I'm serious about all this, please take it
seriously...please do not waste your own time sending me junk mails.
To achieve true happiness is reflected by utilizing your true heart and
true compassion. Thank you!

SOMETHING TO SHARE WITH YOU:
I discover there's actually one such organization that is doing most of
the things that I've mentioned for more than 35 years, since 1966.

It all started in Taiwan, by Master Cheng Yen, a Buddhist nun from Taiwan.

Now, this Tzu Chi Foundation, has its four major missions of Charity,
Medicine, Education, and Culture, this organization has built hospitals,
schools, and helped millions of people in need throughout the world, and
it does not propagate or teach religion. It teaches the art of
living..... "morality", "love", "compassion" and "filial piety". It
teaches the art of Happiness, to purify one's heart and mind with
compassion, and wisdom to live this life meaningfully.

I believe all religion have one thing in common, they all teaches the very
same thing "LOVE" and "COMPASSION".

One thing I like about this organization is that lots of people are
working together..whether they are Buddhist, Christian or believers of
other faith. So the money that comes to TZU CHI are from believers who
believes in compassion, love and who really treasure and care about life.

Master Cheng Yen was awarded the Eisenhower Medallion for her contribution
to world peace, and was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. She is
definitely one of the many great bodhisattvas and a great teacher of great
compassion. This is the only one of the many organizations I know, in
which 100% of the donations directly go to the people in need..not a
single cent is given to cover any administration cost...isn't that great
and fantastic!!! If you're interested in either being a volunteer or
participate in this great movement and would like to know more about this
organization, you can visit this website
at: [English][Mandarin]

For more information on other organization that's doing great work out
there, please click this link Charity Site

The more I learn in depth about buddhism..the more I discover, cultivation
of our heart is essential, it not only heighten up one's morality and
compassion...is the greatest teaching of great wisdom, and a true way of
great liberation and great peace and happiness.

May all of you have a chance to taste this dew from the dharma or buddha's
teaching. Buddha's teaching is not a religion, is a teaching of great
compassion and great wisdom!!! Please click here to know more:

DHARMA DEW

Once again, thank you all the people in my life;
those who have cross my path; those who have become my good friends;
and all those who just know me.

You're all great friends and teachers that have taught me lots about life;

May happiness and good health be with you always!!!
lots of metta (Sankrit word for loving kindness)---Mei Chin.
