his money.When he finished, he accidentally left a £50.00 note on
his desk. But when he returned for it a short while later, it was gone.
Only two other persons could have seen the note. So Moriarty had to talk
to his henchmen.
Smiley told him that he had hidden it for safekeeping under a book that was on the desk. But when they looked the note was not there. Todd said he had found the note where his friend had left it. He had placed it inside the book. He had written down the page numbers so that he would not forget them. The note is between pages 35 and 36, he said. Just a few minutes later one of the Professor's henchmen got a slap in the face and the Professor got his money back. Now, which of Moriarty's henchmen
took the money and how were the Professor able to know it?
