In 1988 a taiko (drum) team was born in Osafune, Okayama Japan. In honor
of the towns proud history as a heartland of fine quality sword production,
the group took the name Meito Daiko, meaning "Famous Swords".
Today Meito Daiko perform at 30-50 events per year. This year, Meito Daiko will tour Hawaii in June.
A GIANT CONCERT is also planned for February 2010. We hope it will be even better than the hugely successful 20th Anniversary Special Concert
of 2008.
