All of Meiy Pekes live in the heart of Texas outside of a town called Navasota, on about 300 acres of ranchland….. The term "kennel" is used loosely here, as they all live in the house with my husband and myself.
I’ve had pekingese for most of my life, whether they were pet quality in the early years or show pekes now. All have been loved the same.
I was active in showing Appaloosa horses until about 11 years ago when I started showing a pet pekingese in obedience. Meiy Pan Si CD earned her third leg in obedience in February of 1990 showing only 4 times with high scoring dog in her class. She was listed as #2 obedience peke for that year. I then decided that I wanted "conformation" as well as the "intelligence" in the ring.
My first conformation pekingese taught me a lot. I learned to groom with him and how to have confidence in the ring. He did earn points, but didn’t finish. But he taught me a lot and is now a sweet little old house boy. I knew I needed a good friend and mentor to help me get started, and I found this in Bob and Mary Ann Jackson of Fourwinds Kennels. As you will see when looking at the Champions I have listed, most have been bought from them or are bred to their dogs. I was very fortunate when starting out and having them help me.
I hope you enjoy my site and will visit again. I will try to keep updates on the show wins and latest news of all Meiy Pekes ~~~
