| PIECES OF SAND tells the story of deranged religious zealot Jacob Rellison in South Philadelphia, who is kidnapping young business men off the street. The press calls him the Stealth Stalker since he leaves no evidence or witnesses. The Philadelphia Police Department's top homicide detective team investigate but one is uncannily kidnapped at the scene of decoy operation and the other suffers a heart attack. West Palm Beach Deputy Sheriff Charley Banyon is drawn to Philadelphia where he offers his services using his special police intelligence techniques. Just as another young man is claimed by the Stealth Stalker, and with no leads or evidence and under pressure from the Mayor and the Governor, the Police Chief gives Banyon one week to solve the case. What follows is a hectic five day chronicle of a unique investigation that eventually identifies Rellison as the Stealth Stalker and discovers forensic evidence that uncovers his unique ability to stalk his victims and escape undetected. During the final frantic hours, Banyon and his team locate the Stalker's den and a furious minute by minute death duel ensues. |
