Handyman to the horizon

There are a zillion small tasks to finish, and a couple of big ones too (like the interior trim).  It's like being a handyman with a task list that extends to the horizon.

I finally installed the handle, lockset, and dead bolt on the front door after having it nailed shut for a couple months.  Mel had some vacation time and laid the vinyl floor in the laundry closet.  We also hung the louvered doors for the closet.

I hung the French doors for the office and discovered that my Rotozip does a great job helping to mortise hinges in a jamb.  I have the used the tool daily since I bought it and have been amazed at how much time it has saved me.

Mel hung closet shelving while I installed the double wall oven in the kitchen.  It took some hunting to find electric caps that would accommodate one #6 and one #10 wire (monster blue).

The shared bath countertop is in place.  Sink templates help to insure that the holes are cut correctly.

The kitchen undermount sink is also in place for the countertop measuring that is scheduled for Tuesday.

Still working on hanging the last of the doors.  Also need to install 6 appliances, including a tricky downdraft stove top.  My trim, casing, corner blocks, and plinths are all back ordered but should be on site by 1/4/2001.  Tile and staircase finish work should also complete next week . . .
