These problem include;
- fatigue - mood swings - denial - self-centeredness - anxiety - depression - lowered self-esteem - sexual dyfunction - restlessness - lack of motivation - inability to self-monitor - difficulty with emotional control - inability to cope - agitation - excessive laughing or crying - difficulty relating to others
The most important thing to remember about bavioural problems resulting from a head injury, is that it is not their fault. It is easy to assume and place blame on the person, thinking that he/she can control their actions... they can't!! Many people think that because head injured people may look just like everyone one else on the outside... "normal" they are the same on the inside too.. they are not... |
