Dark Moonlight
Originally Written: December 17th, 2001
Spinning in the dark moonlight
Lost in her thoughts,
Ebony hair flying,
Stars above twinkling.
She is in a place where no one can see,
Locked deep in her own mind,
Forever stuck in a place
Where she is blissfully alone.
Falling to the cold grass
And looking at the stars,
She reaches up and plucks one out
And holds it in her palm.
She whispers a small wish to it
Opens her palm and watches it fly away.
She jumps up high and her wish comes true
And she flies deeper into her mind.
Locked in her thoughts where only she resides,
Sitting in the padded room,
She doesn’t know I watch her
As she flies in the dark moonlight.
