When all is but mist
I dream many dreams
Dreams of people and places
Dreams of where I could go
But when the night is deep
And the world is but a mist
The worse dreams of all
Pass before my eyes
Dreams of the future
Come into my mind
Hard to remember
When dawn's light begins to shine
Dreams of his face
Crying tears of pain
I tell him I'll come back
And I do
But the pain still remains
Dreams of another
Kissing my lips
Holding my hand
Breaking my heart
Leaving me in pain
I fear the day
These dreams come to pass
As pass they will
As pass they must
And then I'll dream
Another dream
