The pain of saying no
Is just too great to bear

But I have class in the morning
I start college in a month
I’m to young
You’ve grown up before me
You’re ready, I can’t
Not yet

With an Army bag on your shoulder
And hold my hand

Like I’ll hold you before you leave
My heart rips that I can’t be yours
And the tears roll that you can’t
