05.The soft will say "Power phone on shortly". This means you should hold the phones power button for a second or two - the phone wont turn on but it will "ignite" allowing the flashing process to take place. After ignition the software will start sending the flash to the phone! | |||||||||||||

06.Now, the phone has the new software but will not log onto the network - this is because the FAiD (Flash Authority ID) has not been calculated. The FAiD is a security measure used by NMP(tm). to prevent unauthorised flashing of phones! Connect the mbus cable (serial cable) to both the computer and the phone. Then, open Jordik Nokia tool and select your Com Port from the dropdown menu (top center) Press the "Read Phone Info" button (Bottom right) - the software will now read the phones info. If this process fails check your cable and connection! |

07.Press "Update FAID" - the phones Flash authority ID will be updated allowing the phone to log on to the network. Some phones and even some particular software versions can have minor problems after an upgrade such as freezing in certain menus (usually games and messages), making "crackly" buzzer noises, etc. To solve these problems we must reset the phone to factory settings - to do so select the "Select All" radio button in the Special Factory Settings section then press "Make Selected" |
