| 23rd August 2002 Melandri provisional 3rd in Czech After an excellent consistent session from the Italian rider,Marco Melandri has grabbed himself a provisional 3rd place behind Nieto and Porto.Melandri,the provisional world champion stormed to the pole lap numerous times during the session but the last flying laps of Nieto and Porto were enough to stop the Italian from reaching the top spot.However this is only QP1 and tomorrow will be an exciting day for sure! |

| 24th August 2002 MELANDRI TAKES FABULOUS WIN Despite his illness working hard throughout the race is what he did,Melandri managed to stay within the top three for the majority of the race.Towards the end,Melandri overtook Rolfo and led the race fo the remainder of the race.Poor Rolfo crashed out in the final laps and Melandri has now secured his lead in the championship!WELL DONE! |
