Hidden Splendour
Confronted on my walk in Harbour Park with
an impassable trail, instead of feeling stymied I found a new purpose.
The painting was far more challenging than fording the puddle would have
been.

Celebrate
I pause and celebrate this quiet moment of
reflection that transports my mind beyond the confines I tend to keep it
locked up in.

Into the Stillness
Looking into the stillness of a reflection,
I see the world so clearly, upside down.

INNER REFLECTIONS
It is cause for celebration to pause in this busy world and allow the mind to experience the beauty of the moment reflected even in the most ordinary of B.C. occurrences, puddles.
These reflections are mostly of rain puddles and ditches in either Harbour Park or Deas Park. I’m fascinated by the multilevels one can perceive with the surface of the water, the reflections and sometimes the pebbles or mud on the bottom.
My hope is that you, the viewer might take with you the idea to allow yourself the experience and simple joy of a quiet moment of reflection. The next time you see a puddle, pause a moment, be still, and have a look. You may be pleasantly surprised at what you see.
Thankyou for coming to see my work.
