Antioxidants
What are antioxidants?

Antioxidants fight  oxidants  which are commonly referred to as “free radicals.”
Oxidants, if left unchecked, can cause damage to cells and tissues. Antioxidants include supplements such a Beta-Carotene, Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Selenium. Other ingredients that provide antioxidant protection are Co Q-10, Grape Seed Extract, Pycnogenols and Green Tea Extract.

Beta-Carotene
This powerful antioxidant is converted be the body into safe, effective Vitamin A. It has been shown to help keep tissues and organs healthy and to help promote both healthy circulatory and immune function.

Vitamin C
This is an important antioxidant that helps maintain healthy blood cholesterol levels.  Vitamins C is vital to the production of collagen that provides the stability necessary for proper vascular function.  It is also utilized in the development of connective tissue in skin, ligaments and bones.  It acts as an antioxidant to help provide protection for healthy cells and body systems.  It may also help promote healthy immune function and general well-being.

Vitamin E

An antioxidant that helps protect you from unhealthy oxidative “free radicals” that can lead to premature aging.  Helps nutritionally to maintain cardiovascular function and a healthy circulatory system by contributing to normal blood flow and healthy serum cholesterol levels.

Selenium
The body needs selenium to produce Glutathione Peroxidase, a critical antioxidant enzyme which is essential for the protection of red blood cells and cell membranes.  Selenium helps promote cell repair in the lungs and other organs and helps to promote healthy immune system function.

Ginkgo Biloba
Helps maintain brain function, memory and alertness by maintaining healthy blood circulation in the brain.  Ginkgo also works as an antioxidant promoting cell repair function.

Co Q-10
Coenzyme Q-10 (commonly referred to as Co Q-10) is naturally produced in the body and is found in human tissue.  It helps the body convert food into energy, and is necessary for the health of all tissues and organs.  Co Q-10 is an  antioxidant that help protect the cells from “free-radicals” effects that can lead to premature aging. Co Q-10 can also help promote healthy heart and circulatory function.  As we age, Co Q-10 levels in our body decline.  This is why it is important to make Co Q-10 a daily part of any nutritional regimen.

Grape Seed
Grape Seed is one of nature’s richest sources of antioxidant flavonoids and is a potent food supplement.  The flavonoids found in Grape Seed are powerful neutralizers of  free radicals and support healthy tissues and organs.

Melatonin

A hormone which is secreted by the pineal gland, and which has antioxidant properties. Melatonin production in the body declines with age.

Pycnogenol
Studies show that Pycnogenol is a potent antioxidant with a special combination of chemical entities  which contribute to many beneficial effects, such as neutralizing free radicals and supporting healthy tissues and organs.

Green Tea Extract

Green tea contains polyphenols, maturally occuring antioxidant compounds.  Catechin flavonoids are an important type of polyphenol found in Green Tea.  Catechins are potent antioxidant compounds that trap and destroy free radicals.  They also interfere with free-radical-damaging oxidation processes, thereby protecting the body’s cells and tissues.

Zinc
An essential trace  mineral  which works to neutralize unstable substances in your body called free radicals that can cause oxidative stress and damage to cells.  Zinc is an important  mineral  which is essential for protein synthesis which helps to regulate the production of cells in the body’s immune system.
