CP's regrowing lower incisors.  You can't see the top teeth well, but the bottom teeth don't meet them...they're pointing toward the left.  He's been on 25mg of calcium lactate daily since November 22nd.
CP's lower incisors again.  I trimmed them January 20th because they were getting too long again.  I must have split the tooth you see on your right (his left).  It's split vertically down all the way down below the gumline.  The one on the left (his right) apparently broke off again.  That's what I get for not looking at his teeth for a week.  The vet I work for trimmed a little off his top teeth (which look pretty normal now).  With no easy way for him to bite things, they got a little long.

Sedated him to try to pull out the front piece of his split tooth.  It was in there quite well, so I just cut the tooth extremely short.  So far it hasn't bothered him.  He has yet to stop eating, and his behavior hasn't changed one bit.  I wonder if he's getting used to all this?

Beautiful, aren't they?  At this point in the CP tooth game, I've resigned myself to the fact that his teeth are never really going to look any better than this.  His upper incisors are a wonderful shade of brown.  Calcium supplementation had helped this, but I stopped giving it due to potential kidney disease.  His lower left incisor (on your right) is currently in 3 pieces (it's the one I split).  I have to keep his lower incisors pretty short, and his upper incisors have to be checked every few days for sharp points - they wear funny against the lower teeth.  CP's  weight is as good as ever, and he still has no problem picking up food...just no more biting pieces off of stuff like carrots.
