One dream that could come true

But we never wanted memories…

I always thought
I'd taken a stone
Tied it to your memory
And tossed it into the sea.

I now realize
The sea exists today
Because of all the tears
I've shed in your honor.

Should we chance to meet again
When the Lord takes me home
As He took you so many,
