Being a Broomcloset and/or Teenaged Witch
As if being an average teen isn't enough stress, when you
discovered witchcraft, now you have double the amount to worry about.
Yes, it is great to have a religion you fully believe in, but the fact that
Paganism/Witchcraft isn't a very widely accepted faith, can make it very hard.
Personally, I am out of the "broom-closet" to all of my friends and some
teachers. They have all accepted my faith, and some have even asked to learn
more about it. But what do you do, if you're in my case, and your parents
don't know??
For rituals, I have heard that it is ok to do all chanting in your head,
where you can scream as loud as you want, and your parents can't hear a word
of it. After all, could you imagine having to explain the weird chanting
coming from your room at 1:00 am?? I have also read that it is ok to preform
the whole ritual in your head, if need be.
I'm a bit of a kitchen witch, I use stuff from our kitchen and return it
before morning. I have found that this is the best way, because one, buying
all the tools could become QUITE costly, especially on a limited income like
mine, and two, it keeps my mom from cleaning my room and asking, "Where did
you get that LOVELY knife from?"
