Review: Marmalade Boy definately puts some fun into disfunctional, just like it is qouted to do.  Poor Miki always thought that she had a normal life.  Then her parents went on a trip to Hawaii for the wedding anniversary (yeah, I know I can't spell).  That's went everything went wrong, as soon as they got back they announced that they were getting a divorce and then switching spouses with another couple.  Miki just about had a heart attack.  Miki sucked up her gut and said, sure I'm okay with this.  Though she was lieing through her teeth.  It ends up that the couple that her parents are marrying have a son her age, Yuu.  Yuu is mean and rude to Miki, though he loves her.  Miki is struggling with her own feelings for Yuu and her best guy freind, Ginta.  Later, Yuu and Miki get together, but they keep their relationship secret from their family.  This story line has may up and down to keep the reader turning pages.  As well as a lot of humor.  The art isn't the best, but it's not bad either.  The characters are well thought out and fun.  Overall this manga, is a nice read that gives the reader many laughs.  Any romance fan would like this manga.

Review: Looking for an almost "innocent" teenage romance with hints of "The Brady Bunch"?  Marmalade Boy is the way to go!  Basically, the plot is about a teenage girl named Miki.  Her life gets turned upside down when her parents decide to get divorced and marry another couple.  Basically, the wife of one family decided the marry the husband of the family, and vica versa.  With this "arrangement", a teenage male named Yuu becomes Miki's step-brother.  However, she soon finds out that she may find herself falling in love with him, and I'm not talking about the brotherly sisterly love sort of deal!  However, other people decide to interfere with the development of this relationship.  Sounds like Mars?  This manga is definately NOT like Mars!  Unlike Mars, this manga contains much more humor in many different ways.  However, it's not completely a comedy either.  There is romance and drama in almost every book in this series.  Basically, this series dishes out a good read for any teen looking for a good romantic comedy.  The artwork of this series is so cute!  Just looking at some of the characters will attract anyone who can't resist cuteness!  Overall, Marmalade is a great series!  However, do not pick up this series if you are a die-hard action fan, because obliviously you will recieve no action that'll suit your cravings!

Review:  Just adding to my original review, now that the series is over.  :: cries ::  The ending kinda made me feel like I wanted more.  But at the same time it was good.  I have problems with endings, but that's my problem right?  Anyways.  I liked how all the chara got together in the end with the person they were meant to be.  I was really happy for Meiko.  And Miki's new look gave her this whole 'office worker' type feel that I didn't think worked too well with her, but I got used to it.  And the short hair looks real nice.  To the end this manga was consistant. One problem after the next, but in the end everything worked out.  And Yuu and Miki's parents are so weird!  I mean so weird.  I'll let you read up on them some more, I now everyone whose even read the summary of the first book would know their off their rockers, but...  Their just nuts!  I also liked how their was an added little thing about how Marmalade Boy was created at the end of Volume 8.  I thought it was funny when the author lady was like, 'Miki you were a boy!  and Yuu, you were a girl!  Oh and Ginta, you were the school president girl, nothing like you are now!'  and then at the end with the psycho parents, 'But we were always important!!!!!!'  Anyways, I would say that Marmalade Boy is a must read for anyone who enjoys comedic romances!  Go and Read!!!!!!!!
