Division Definitions: 1) OF Plastic: Any plastic model that is mass-produced (Breyer, Stone, Hartland, etc.). The model must be in its original factory state. Minor repairs and touch-ups are acceptable if the judge cannot detect them. 2) Artist Resin: Any model sculpted and produced by an artist then cast in resin. Place original sculptures in this division. 3) Custom: Any mass-produced model that has been altered from its original factory state (by repainting, etching, adding hair, repositioning, etc.). 4) Test/Limited Run Division: Any OF Plastic model that is a one-of-a-kind or produced in a run of 35 or fewer total pieces (matte and glossy combined). 5) The mini classes are for LB/Paddock Pals, SMs, Pebbles, and Chips scale models. Traditional and Classic scale show in regular classes. Class Limits 1) Halter classes: Each entrant may enter up to five entries per halter class 2) Performance classes: Each entrant may enter up to 3 entries per performance class. Judges 1) Lori Batchelor: Custom Halter and Artist Resin Halter 2) Sue Stewart: Performance 3) Melissa Pipes: OF Plastic Halter-Breed 4) Deb Whitson: OF Plastic Halter-Collectibility 5) Kim Wandrey: OF Plastic TR/VLR Halter-Breed and Collectibility Performance Class Rules 1) Provide an explanation card with all performance entries, except for basic pleasure classes. 2) Tag the model to be considered for judging. All other models in the set-up will be considered props. 3) There will be a time limit of ten minutes for set up of all performance classes, except for the scene classes which will have fifteen minutes for set up. 4) Each performance entry must fit into a 24" x 24" space. 5) Costume and Western Pleasure classes will not be allowed props. All other performance classes will be allowed props. Halter Class Rules 1) No props or halters are allowed in halter classes. 2) Please lay down tippy models on a cloth or towel for judging. The judge may stand the model up long enough for judging. 3) Once a model has been shown in a halter class, it may not show in any other halter class. 4) In breed classes, models will be judged based on conformation, breed assignment, and condition. 5) In collectibility classes, models will be judged based on collectibility and condition. 6) If a model's assigned breed or color is rare, you must provide appropriate documentation to support the assignment. 7) Important note: All models entered in halter classes for collectibility must have a card (3x5 index card or business card sized) or tag listing pertinent collectibility information. Failure to provide the card will result in the model's disqualification from collectibility judging, but not from breed judging. Other notes 1) A judge may not proxy show models in the division(s) they are judging. 2) Classes may be split, but only if time allows. 3) Please realize that this is a one day show with a substantial class list. Be prepared to continue into the evening hours. Bring snacks in case we cannot take a dinner break! 4) Please do not bring models to the show ring until the class has been called!!! 5) Showers may sell only discontinued models from their tables. |
