USS Deathstrike NCC 17781-A

The USS Deathstrike was a Star Trek-based roleplaying game, played by email, which I ran from 1995 through 1998. The game was set in the timeframe of Deep Space Nine, a year or two *after* the failure of the Cardassian and Romulan attack on the Founder's World, but did diverge somewhat from what was shown in the series. The Deathstrike was a top-secret ship designed for one purpose: war. Intelligence-gathering efforts by the Federation, under the auspices of Admiral Alynna Nechayev, had discovered the existence of an alliance between the remnants of the Cardassian Obsidian Order and the Dominion, which, had it been allowed to proceed unchecked, could have resulted in the Dominion's being able to launch a full-scale assault on the Federation from bases in Cardassian space. (NB: This was all devised well before any of the Dominion War story arc appeared on Deep Space Nine episodes, so please excuse any deviations from canon.) The crew of the Deathstrike was as follows:

Capt. Charles Honeywell, Commanding Officer

Cmdr. Jason Snowhawk, First Officer(XO)

Lt. Sarik, Chief Science Officer

Lt. Cmdr. Sean Derbin, Operations

Lt. Niles Spindicaster, Helm/Navigation

Lt. LA Ares, Chief of Security

Lt. (jg) M'rann, Assistant Chief of Security

Lt. Rod McRose, Tactical Officer
