Where to go - Out & about |
If like me your staying away any where, youve got all dressed up and are wondering where do i go from here?? Well I thought I'd add a page to my site listing all the places I'd been. This is by no means an exhaustive list of where to go, simply a personal record of where i've been how i got on and a little of what u can expect. I've tried to list everywhere so there is a combination of: Where to stay, where to eat, Pubs and clubs, and where to shop. |
Blackpool: Accomodation: Renaissance House,(www.lynda@renaissance2.freserve.co.uk) Linda runs a nice B&B open any time for TV's Food: Try Autumn Leaves or Da Vinci's Shopping: Ive been shopping at Clubs: Flamingos is a friendly fantastic club with gr8 dance floor and bars on 3 x levels. Try also; Mardi gras, and Pepi's nearby General, Blackpool has set its stall as the gay holiday venue of the north an is therefore pretty laid back and accepting anywhere in my opinion. Bristol: Accomodation: I've always stayed at the Travel Inn, its central for shops and a nice walk nto town, not a bad price with carparking Shopping: a fantastic shopping centre with all big names Pubs/Clubs: Old Market tavern and surounds is gay quarter all accepting.Also try Pinapple off park street, and club Venus. I ate at Ask a large pizza pasta chain. Cambridge; Cosmopolitan student city, by the time theyve worked u out, youve been there and done it, so go anywhere and push the boundaries. Club: 5th avenue was gr8 fun, str8 venue but we had fun Cardiff: Club: Club X is a gr8 place, very friendly and accepting. Go on your own, I did!! Accom: I stayed at Travel Inn, very friendly but 1 mile/15min walk from centre Chester: Shopping at Cheshire Oaks is gr8 fun loads of shops bargain prices. Eating: Had lunch at the Mill Hotel, very cool.... Colchester Pub: Fox & Hounds Little Bromley, TV night every wed, but welcoming any other night. London; Philbeach Hotel is a must, Mondays is Lipstick (TV night) loads of admirers !! The Princes Thai restaurant at the Philly is also highly reccomended. Accomodation: Its London try anywhere !!! set your own budget. Harvey Nicks is fantastic fun for that special night out, beware expensive !! London is the place to push the boundries, decide what your up for and do it Shopping: I ve done Lakeside, and Blue water shopping Centres Reading Stormes at the Granby on the 1st Monday of the month is worth dragging yourself out to, for accomodation try the Donnington Hotel 5 minutes walk away. Manchester: The Village is the Mecca, loads of bars and clubs, I've not had a problem in any. Reccomendations include: Napoleans (of course), Via Fossa, New Union, Spirit, Bar Velvet, Taurus, the list goes on..... Accomodation: I would reccomend The International, but it is curently closed. So they New Union or rembrandt. Shopping: Trafford Centre is good fun, also city centre, Selfridges and Harvey Nicks are brilliant. |
