Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is becoming more and more popular among companies. Many firms are willing to invest large amounts of money to improve their relationships with clientelle. this is done by integrating new information systems into their existing systems. For example, the emergence of new online marketplaces such as Amazon.com allows customers to browse through many products in a rnage of prices. Levi's allows customers to design their own jeans via their website. This will provide an advantage to customers who are picky about their jeans. However CRM has its own challenges. Companies often have to invest large amounts of capital and time installing software that suits the company, and training employees on te software. There are companies who have invested large sums of money into CRM packages but have failed. The company was unable to employ the system effectively and did not meet their goals and objectives associated with the package.
