and promises that you can't keep.
Is the sky really that red?
Hold my hand as i descend
in to that valley of shadows that sleep.
An eternity is never enough.
Who lit this fire in my sky?
Time seems to walk across my back.
I feel to old for this game of chess.
We've played to long and i grow weary.
What happened to all those knights we talked about?
I seem to be your pawn.
And now the sky does seem to pail.
Appearence is often an illusion.

To heaven not hell, wil you follow me out?
Keep dreaming that one day i might care,
about your cherubs and how they fair.
I've listened silently for too long.

Does this make you happy?
Are you satisfied?
Well i hope you're happy
Because i know i am.
Does the sunrise make you grin?
I think i see it everyday.
Even birds are beautiful.
Do you even notice them at all?
I remember so much of evrything.
Maybe your brain needs a rest.
I enjoy everyday, and even rain is often nice.
Every passer-by and every smile recieved.
I enjoy the mist and haze of early light.
How do you sleep at night?
Does nohting make sense?
Do you long to find peace?
Have you learned life's lessons yet?
When will you realize you're in pain?
or that you are just really a fake.
Can't you see that there is more to life than misery.
That sad songs are meant to be happy.
I like waking up knowing i know nothing.
at least i'm honest with myself.
I've found there is less time than we think
and you shouldn't spend it on regret.
