Assembly:

1.  Fill in the top and bottom pieces of the frame with a
brick stitch.  Make sure to leave a 3 bar border on the bottom and sides for the white trim stitching (see picture).

2.  Fill in the side pieces using the same brick stitch, making sure to leave a 3 bar border on one side of the strip for the white trim stitching (see
picture).

3.  Finish off the pieces (all four frame pieces) with some white stitching that will look like the window casing.

4.  Attach the four frame pieces together by gluing bare pieces of plastic canvas over the joints/corners (see
picture).

5.  Fill in your shutter pieces with the stitching of your choice.  Stitch or glue the shutters to the sides of your frame.  This will help to keep your frame pieces together too.

6.  Fill in the flower box strip with stitching.  To give the flower box
dimension, cut a small triangle of plastic canvas, fill it in with yarn, and glue it to the window box strip.  Then glue the flower box to the bottom of the frame.  Fill in the flower box with ribbon roses or other artificial flowers.
7.  Fill in the back piece of the frame with a large stitch.  Glue this large back piece to the back of the frame.  ONLY GLUE ON THREE SIDES!  By only gluing on three sides, the back piece creates a pocket for the picture to slide into.  Leave the top unglued so the picture may slide right in.  (*NOTE:  Gluing on the back also helps to stabilize the frame).
To create the easel:

To create the easel for the frame, fill in the two easel pieces with yarn and the stitch of your choice.  Glue the larger easel piece (the 14 x 16 piece) at an angle on the back.  To brace the large easel piece, glue the small easel piece (5 x 10) perpendicular to the frame.  Then glue the other side of this brace piece to the larger easel piece  It creates a triangle or wedge support.

See how the brace piece creates a wedge-like support easel.
This is what the easel will look like on the back.
*NOTE:  This design will also work for portrait-style pictures.  Simply elongate the shutters and shorten the window box dimensions so the frame is oriented for a portrait-style picture and not a landscape.
