A love of driving, taking photos, and a general disgust for the genericization of the country today have combined to bring this website to life. The buildings, whether theaters or other interesting forgotten places, are really neat, and the adventure of finding them is really fun. My hope is to try to experience these places before they are completely gone.

Please choose one of the links above and begin exploring. The Theaters page includes photos and stories of finding both indoor "main street" theaters and classic drive-in theaters across the country. Many are from southern California and southwest Michigan where I lived and now live. The Abandoned Places page is dedicated to photos and stories of finding abandoned, often forgotten about places around the country.
