"Something"

You make me afraid to be with you
Broken hearts are left with scars - walls
I can't trust something I can't see - love
You were broken, too, and then me
Are we just hiding from each other?
I couldn't look at you before last night
But your eyes pierced through my shell
I was only protecting myself
And you stripped me, bare to my soul
Trust isn't somehting I'll ever understand
It falls apart when you hold on too tight
Do you love me? Do I love you?
Love doesn't equal trust, it distroys it
I don't want to love you because I have to
My heart should belong to the stars
Then I will never hurt again
It scares me to be with you
To trust you, to love you, to let you in
This is something different, something new
Something I'm going to have to get used to
