"Havin fun?" A.J. asked Trinity as they slowly swayed to the soft love ballad. They had been in there for hours already dancing to a bunch of rave music. It felt good to their bodies to be able to slow down. Trinity's was sweaty all over and the leather dress didn't help, but she could easily ignore it because she was having the time of her life. She laid her head down on A.J.'s shoulder, trying to regain her breathing composure. They were both out of breath, and could clearly hear each others heartbeats. "You wore me out A.J." Trinity said into A.J.'s ear. "If you want, I can wear you out in other ways as well." A.J. responded huskily. Trinity smirked and looked him in the eyes. "You really think your that good don't you?"
"I know I'm that good baby. I can show you the best time of your life." Her stomach twisted when A.J. said those words. Cause this time he wasn't fooling around. She didn't say anything, just continued with the steps, and kept her gaze in his eyes. She didn't want to think about what he just said or the effect that came with it. She just wanted to forget it, and imagine that A.J. was someone else...someone she couldn't stop thinking about. "May I cut in?" A deep voice broke their gaze and they were confronted by Kevin. Trinity swore her heart jumped. All night she attempted to avoid Kevin, but now...the ballad surrounding them, and the mist that centered made it very clear. Her eyes ran over Kevin's black dress pants, and up to his chest where only a wifebeater lay. She could have sworn he had on a jacket and tie earlier. She should have noticed before that even A.J. had taken off his dress shirt and tie and had a wife beater on as well.
Kevin's tan arms looked so strong and protecting like they were a few weeks ago. It had been so long...and looking at him made her wonder how she went that long without touching him. "No problem man, I'll just go get a drink and I'll be back." If A.J. was talking to her she wouldn't have noticed. Kevin slipped his right arm around her back, and took her left hand in his own and resumed the steps from before. She couldn't speak, and she was thinking that maybe her heart had stopped. Everything around her dissapeared and she couldn't think straight. All she could see was Kevin in front of her eyes and be aware that his strong chest and manhood were only a mere foot away. She wanted to dance with him as she was with A.J. only a minute before. Their bodies pressed together, and thier heartbeats entwined in harmony. She melted as his gaze and when he opened his mouth to speak she barely heard.
"Are you enjoying yourself?" His voice fit perfectly with the haze around her. "Oh god yes..." A small surprising growl of words escaped her throat and came out of her lips. It surprised not only her, but Kevin as well. His eyes widened for a split second, but than it dissappeared as quick as it came. He knew she wanted him. Trinity knew her eyes gave everything way. They were filled with so much passion and were so clouded up that a person a mile away could see it. Her body screamed to feel his near hers. She changed the position, letting go of his hand and pushing her body into his so it fit perfectly. She let her arms wrap around his waist letting them clasp on his back as he did the same. She laid her head on his chest, exhaling. Her body was on fire, and she felt like she was flying up in the air, dancing in circles with this...man...this wonderful man who had changed her whole perception on life in a mere second.
This was so different. This was so perfect and she couldn't let it end. She lifted her head up, she wanted to stay in this daze, staring at only him, him staring back at her. His features were so beautiful and it drove her crazy. A voice in the back of her head that seemed to echo with something that sounded like warning bells kept saying, "Shake it off...you can't get involved." But it couldn't get through, she was too far gone. "Kevin..." Did she say that? "Kevin..." Was that her? Was she repeating his name? If she was, it was rolling off of her tongue like butter. "Yes?" Did he respond? Voices...they seemed so far away. "I just wanted to say your name..." She thought, or did she say it outloud? She didn't know, she was getting really confused now. Even the music seem to dissappear. Dissappear...
"What the hell?" Trinity turned around breaking her link with Kevin. A.J. and Howie stood before her, hands over there mouths. They were trying not to laugh. "What is it?" Trinity asked, still shaky. "You do realize the D.J. isn't playing love ballads anymore." She looked up at Kevin, and he had a small smirk on his face. Her ears than seemed to open up and she realized the "Blue" song from Eifell 65 was playing instead of the soft love ballad her and Kevin had lost themselves in. "You guys were slow dancing to techno. But I don't think you knew that anyway. You two were oblivious to everything around you." Howie said, a tiny grin forming on his face. She felt her face get red, and she laughed slightly, looking down at the floor for a second. "Well thanks for interuppting it A.J., I bet Kevin and I looked like real idiots out there." Trinity tried to say as calmly as she could, doing her best not to sound sarcastic. That had been the most perfect moment she had ever experienced in her life and A.J. had ruined it.
"Well we came into get you two because we gotta leave soon. We have a flight at 5:00 a.m. and it's already 11:30. Now unless you guys want to be sleeping through the concert we have tommorow night than I suggest we get to the hotel and get sleep." A.J. explained. The two nodded, slowly departing what they left behind.
* * *
Trinity huffed, as she collapsed onto her king sized water bed. She threw her hotel room key and purse to the floor. She had a room to herself this time because Donna and Carol were still in Germany. She was happy about that, because she knew she'd never be able to contemplate what happened to her tonight if Carol had been there chatting away like there was no tommorow. She wanted to say "Damn Kevin, Damn him." But she couldn't bring herself to say the words. She actually wanted to say "Oh god...Kevin." And she did. His name was so sexy and perfect. It fit him so well.
This isn't how it's supposed to work. I'm not supposed to get all love-sick over some strange...mysterious...man. Not now, not here. But once again, her heart was winning this battle. Her heart knew what she needed, what was best for her, but her heart wasn't playing it smart at all. Her head was screaming at full force for her to forget it. Forget anything. She jumped up, and ran to the bathroom opening the medicine cabinent. There was some advil in there luckily from earlier this morning, and she grabbed two swallowing them down. She had to get out of this dress and sleep. Sleep was the only answer to her questions. In the morning she should be fine, Kevin would be gone from her mind. She yanked the top of her leather dress down, hopping around trying to squeeze out of it. It became a lot tighter because of the sweat. After a few minutes of struggling she wiggled free and threw the dress to the floor, falling back onto the bed. Screw it, I'll just sleep in my bra and underwear. Trinity thought to herself. She didn't have the energy to grab her pajamas or robe. She was so tired...and needed sleep...
Seconds from dozing off....a knock came to her door... |
