Chapter 5
Julia cringed as A.J. walked briskly past her, quickening his pace as she followed him to where the guys were.  She found them all sitting down at the hotel's restaurant.  "Hey guys.  This is Julia, and this is Danni."  A.J. introduced them to the guys who barely acknowledged her prescense, except for Howie, who stood up and shook her hand.  They were all looking curiously at Danni who they would be spending the next few hours with.  "You guy's know how to handle a kid?"  Julia asked.  Leighanne, Brian's wife spoke up.  "Oh yes, I've had lots of experience, she's in good hands Julia, don't worry about it."  Julia just nodded and looked down at Danni, who was cooing and looknig up at her mother, sucking on her binky.  "Alright baby, Mommy's going to go talk to with this nice man for awhile.  Your going to stay with these nice people alright?"  Danni just looked at her mother, not really comprehending what she had just said.

She than looked back down at the table full of celebrities.  "She doesn't cry much at all, so she shouldn't be too much trouble.  I already fed her, but you can feed her a little snack if you want.  No desserts though, it keeps her up and gives her diarhhea.  But anything else is fine."  Julia instructed.  They all nodded and Julia gave her daughter one last kiss and handed her over to Leighanne.  She didn't get too say anymore cause A.J. yanked her by the arm and dragged her out of the restaurant.  "Ow!  What are you doing!"  "We're going to talk."  He pulled her into the elevator and pushed the button for floor 38.  He kept a firm grip on her arm, and was silent.  He suddenly had a harsh, mean look about him.  She was afraid he was going to kill her.  "A.J., let go of my arm.  Now."  She said sternly, trying to yank her arm out of his strong hold.  "No!"  He stated firmly, yanking her into him.  She whimpered, hitting her head on his hard-rock chest.

"Dammit A.J.!  What are you doing??"  A second later they reached the floor where A.J.'s room was on and he dragged her out of the elevator and into his room.  He slammed the door, and started pacing around in front of her.  She uneasily sat down on his bed, feeling that creepy deja vu feeling.  "Alright A.J. what do you want to talk about?"  Julia asked, sighing with irratation.  He stopped and looked at her, which made her roll her eyes.  She supposed she shouldn't have done that, because that seemed to piss him off more.  He got right in her face, and started speaking.  "You know, your a real BITCH!"  "Excuse me!"  She exclaimed shakily.  He looked so angry.  The only familiar thing was the same look she had seen in his eyes that night they were together.  They were full of lust, but this was bad lust.  "A.J., I don't want to fight with you.  I came here for what I wanted and I have it.  Why are you making this so difficult?"  Julia said as calmly as she could.  "Because this is your fault!  Your trying to make a fool out of me!"  "Oh is that so!"  Julia shouted, standing up and pushing him away from her.  "Did I hurt your pride A.J.?  Your dignity?  Did I finally give you something Mr. Alexander James Mclean can't handle?!!!"  She pushed him away from her again.  "Well you know what A.J.!  Fuck you!  I don't give a flying fuck about you and I KNOW you don't care about me, so quit pushing this!  It's over!  You bought a bad condom, and there came Danni!  Live with it and stop punsihing me for it!  Ever stop to think this was your fault??"  A.J. calmed for a second, but than regained his stern look.

"There is no way this is MY fault!"  A.J. told her.  "Oh oh oh!  Yeah of course A.J.!  It's not your fault!  It's not your fault because your rich, because your well-known, because you can do whatever the hell you want!  Well you know what, I can't.  You didn't grow up with a bad family, you didn't have to go through high school with no friends, everyone thinking your a slut just cause your mother is, the only thing I had going for me was a 4.0 gpa, and a one way ticket out of Ohio with a full four year scholarship to MIT, but since you had to buy a bad condom, and get ME pregnant, my chance for a future is sunk!  The only future I have now is Danni, and I don't see you in it.  The only thing I'm interested in is your money, and that's all.  As long as my baby get's taken care of, than I'm set.  Understand???"

A.J. was finally silent, and his facial expression went back to normal.  He took off his sunglasses, and massaged his temples, sighing.  "Alright Julia.  Look, your right.  We both take part in this.  I really didn't take you up here to yell at you.  I took you up here because I actually want to see Danni.  I want her to know I'm her father, and that I love her."  A.J. said softly.  It was the first time since she'd met him that she heard sincereity and kindness in his voice.  "You really do care about Danni don't you?"  "Yes, I do.  It was like, when I first laid eyes on her, it felt like there was meaning in my life."  A.J. confessed.  "I know how you feel."  It was shocking, they were actually having a decent conversation.  No yelling.  "Look, I'll agree to those terms."  Julia said simply.  A.J.'s head shot up, he didn't think it was gonna be that easy, but it was.  "No buts or anything?"  "No, I want her to have a daddy, and I knew from the first time, that you would make her a good father.  You may be a lousy human being, but you'd be a great dad."  A.J. tried to ignore her first comment, and took the second to heart.  "Alright, than it's set.  If you don't mind, I'd like to help you get settled in tommorow, that way I could spend some time with Danni."

Julia nodded, and half-smiled at his generousity, even if it was for his benefit.  "Okay, than.  Well...are we done?  Cause if we are I'd like to get Danni."  Julia said.  "Wait, er, hold on."  A.J. said, approaching her.  "Just let me, uh..."  He didn't finish cause he brought his lips down onto her softly and kissed her.  It was nice, and he was happy to find out he had been correct.  Her eyes widened as he pulled away.  "What was that for?"  "Well for a minute you actually looked like someone I might be able to care about, but kissing you made me realize...no."  A.J. said in a half serious, half joking matter.  "I hate you."  Julia told him.  A.J. grinned and said, "I know."
