I have been a truckers wife for many years now.  I often hear people complain about the "crazy" truckers on the road and the accidents they cause.  Well, before you make your next comment about a trucker, please do me one little favor.  When you are on the interstate next time, watch how everyone else is driving around those "crazy" truckers.  You will see those cars move over in front of the semi with only a few feet to spare.  Do you really think a semi carrying 80,000 pounds can stop that quick?  Anyone who does should not be allowed to have a drivers license, because this is just plain old common sense!  Everyone has seen the signs that read "If you can't see my mirrors, I can't see you".  This is a fact...so why does everyone on the road ignore this and then complain about the truckers driving?  Do you realize that literally everything you touch today will have been transported at one time or another by a semi-truck?  How many of those items could you do without if we took those "crazy" truckers off the road?  There will be a many, many more recks caused today and everyday by cars than by semi-trucks.  One hundred years ago nobody would bad-mouth a cowboy, because he was responsible for getting that food on your plate.   Today truckers get the food to your plate.  Maybe we should be a little less criticle and a little more appreciative!

A Truckers Wife

He's heading out again,
gotta get back on the road,
Won't be back until,
he's delivered his last load.

Worrying while he's gone,
for his safety, and his life,
this comes naturally from,
being a loving truckers wife.

But I got a little secret,
which to you I will confide,
I asked a little guardian angel,
to ride with him by his side.

This guardian angel takes care of my trucker,
while down the highways he must roam.
Always being protected everyday,
untill he comes home.

So wherever my trucker goes,
I know I need not fear.
For he is never all alone,
His trucking guardian angel is always near.
