Basically, I sat down and thought to myself that if I want to make a Superman that looks like Superman, than I should go back to the classic ideas of him.... And so I drew him in a pose he has been drawn in a thousand times since Shuster drew him on the cover of Superman #1... It definately helped me get that much closer to finding my take on Superman without losing the iconic nature of him as a character...
