Beneath it All

Beneath all of the smiles and the laughs,

You will find me there... cornered and helpless

Like wizards of legend without their staffs

Nothing without them and weak with distress

Broken and shattered and torn up inside

I lack conviction and lose all my thoughts

Blanketed by anger; This is my pride

My lifeline tangled in a Celtic knot

Never to be broken of figured out

Forever shall you see this hollow shell

My other side, which you could do without

Shall be my salvation in this hell

Or is it the root of my own demise

Eating my spirit from so deep within

I'm tired of living this awful lie

My body, so tired; it must give in

Trading in all I have tried to achieve

For just a single chance for me to cry

You won't understand; you'll say I decieved

Feel guilt, I would not, for this day I die

Beneath all of the smiles and the laughs

You will find me there... cornered and helpless
