My Muse

My muse is once again alive and well

She lives within and keeps me calm and clear

One day my muse will once again appear

In body, then I will escape this hell

Which plagues me every single day I live

My so-called life that I could do without

To touch the sweet surrender of her mouth

And there is nothing that I would not give

To be with her and have her by my side

To walk with her and hold her hand in mine

To show my love could stand the test of time

And throw away my reasons left to hide

In me she breathes; in me she lives her life

One day she'll wake; one day she'll be my wife
