Gundam wing was released in Japan in 1995 through 1996 and was released in the US in 2000. Gundam wing takes place in A.C. 195 when because of overpopulation and constant warfare people built space colonies. The elite military guard of the Romefeller Foundation called OZ has taked over the space colonies. Secretly 5 scientists each from different colonies send Gundams(Robots) to Earth to stop OZ. As the story progresses you learn that the Gundams were originaly supposed to be part of Operation Meteor, a journey much harsher than what they ended up doing.
