He may be Richard Gainger 1815 - 1884 #2366 aged 69 son of Elizabeth and John Gainger died at Ondit, from DevonshireCaroline Bennett was born abt.1818 to John Bennett and Elizabeth Watts at Romsey, Hampshire. She came to Australia with her sister Harriott in June 1842 arriving Victoria on The Earl of Durham Harriet Bennett wed 1855 #2547 to William Lockwood and died 1861 #7209 aged 35, daughter of John Bennett of Hampshire Richard Gainger and Caroline Bennett were in Melbourne 1843, and at Bacchus Marsh by 1848, then Chilwell, Duneed and Mt Moriac They were married after the children were born, 1878 #1518 at St. James, Church of England, Melbourne, where their first child was Christened in 1843 | |
