| Did You Know That... | |||||||||
| That Kunzite was changed to Malachite for legal reasons? In the manga, Luna and Artemis were both from the planet Mau? That Black Lady was changed to Wicked Lady for fears of lawsuits in racial terms? That Serena in the Japanese version is both Princess Serenity and Princess Selenity, due to the fact that the "r" sounds and the "l" sounds both are the same? When Sailor Mars/Raye uses her fireballs, there used to be a shadowed man that would walk through the flames when the screen flashed with all the fire. This was cut out for fears that people would mistake it for Satan? In the Sailor Stars series you find out that Raye DOES go to a Catholic school. For some odd reason her Grandfather wanted her to go there even though she's Shinto (maybe it was a good school, I have no idea)? When everyone entered High School in the Stars series, it's found out that that was a MAJOR mistake. They were all meant to go into High School in the SuperS series like in the manga, but the stupid producers and script writers forgot and MAJORLY screwed up? Sammy has a crush on Amy? Amy once BEAT Haruka in a senshi battle? The reason why Mina never gets a boyfriend is because in the Sailor V manga, an enemy that she had just mortally wounded put a curse on her that she would never have a successful relationship with a guy! Mina and Yaten both had crushes on each other and never admitted it? Serena not once but TWICE got drunk? In the manga, in the Stars series Serena says that she can feel a Starseed growing inside of her (i.e. Reeny is concieved at age 16!) Amy, Lita, and Serena all had crushes on Andrew in the manga? Andrew knows who the scouts really are (in the manga, they told him who they were) Mina was the original Moon Princess before Naoko changed the plot? Lita was to come in in episode 17 and smoke to look like she was in a gang. Lita's friend Asunama (the manga version of Ken) in the manga also knows who the scouts are? That the inner scouts never had any relationships with any of the 4 Generals. It was just Naoko and wanting to get both the Generals and the scouts in in one picture! Chad and Greg never existed in the manga (poor Raye and Amy!). In the 1st SuperS manga, Reeny and Serena switch bodies? Only temporarily though! Reeny is 903 years old? (In the manga) Mina once set up dates with both Hawk Eye and Tiger Eye and juggled the two of them as boyfriends in one episode? Mina once posed as Sailor Moon in the S series? She looked pretty funny! When Mina first saw Haruka, she thought "he" was cute and wanted to go out with "him"! In the episode, "Jupiter Comes Thundering In" Lita was about to take a smoke when Serena showed up? Lita once had a boyfriend named Matt that we here about in the episode, "Dog Day For Artemis"? DIC added 8 extra notes to Alan's flute song? DIC actually went so low as to cut out Serena being late to school in some episodes? Hotaru's dad made her half cyborg? Amy in the SuperS series said to Serena's brother that she was willing to put her dream of being a pediatrician on hold and have a big family instead? DIC was so stupid that in the NA anime in episode #4, "So You Want To Be A Superstar" Sailor Moon looks at the screen and says, "If you see Luna tell her that I could really use her help." In the manga, you find out two things about Raye: her mom died a few years after she was born, and she hated her father so much for neglecting his family (he's a lawyer) that she decided to stay with her grandpa on her mom's side of the family. In the manga Raye fell in love with her father's asistant? Ever notice that a ton of stuff is labeled 10-BAN? That's because it's a really bad joke. 10 in Japanese is juu (pronounced jew), and BAN. Put them together and what have you got? Juuban, which is their school district! The Starlights aren't related, but their mission was to go to Earth to find Princess Fireball? They tried to reach her through their music, which is why they became singers. The sex change part was just a really clever disguise! Chibi-Chibi is really Sailor Cosmos, the pure and ultimate form of Sailor Moon? She was created pretty much the same way the Moonlight Knight was. Amy's dad is a painter? He does Japanese water colors. Amy's mom and dad are divorced? One day her dad went to his studio in the woods (see the fact above) and later her mom got a divorce slip in the mail. Amy gets a postcard from her dad every birthday? Mina goes to a different school then everyone else? In the S series, Haruka and Michiru's school gets blown up? DIC last year lost the rights to Sailor Moon? Haruka and Michiru were initially created to gain a more male audience? Cool thing was; it worked! Phobos and Demos become human in episode 34 of the manga? Hotaru's dad held a convention to show off his latest invention (he was an inventor) and it blew up in everyone's faces? Only Hotaru's dad survived. Taiki (Sailor Star Maker) does laugh? In the S movie Luna turns into a human? Only temporarily though! There were 2 English names considered for the Inner Scouts? Here's what they were: Serena - Victoria Amy - Blue Raye - Dana Lita - Sara Mina - Kari That in the SuperS manga, Artemis turns human so Mina could get her Venus Crystal and transform using "Venus Crystal Power Make-up"? That originally Sailor Moon was going to have a gun and a cape? Naoko later on changed her mind. That in the manga, Sailor Moon's hair was going to turn silver when she transformed, but the editor said it should be yellow because it looks better on the cover because it's flashier? That while Raye never wanted to love in both the anime and manga, her dream was to become a wife? With special thanks to Sailor Star Dust for this next bit of information, here are the scouts' birthdays: Usagi -- June, 30th, 1978 Ami -- September, 10th, 1978 Rei -- April, 17th, 1978 Makoto -- December, 5th, 1978 Minako -- October, 22nd, 1978 Mamoru -- August, 3rd, 1974 Haruka -- January, 27th, 1978 Michiru -- March, 6th, 1978 Setsuna -- October, 29th, 1975 (if she were to have been reborn with everyone else after the Moon Kingdom's desturction instead of watching over the Time Gates) Hotaru -- January, 6th, 1981 Seiya -- July, 30th, 1979 Taiki -- May, 30th, 1979 Yaten -- Februray, 8th, 1979 Chibi-Usa -- Same date as Usagi. Her actual birthyear is unknown but she *is* 5 when she arrives to the 20th century when the Black Moon/Nega Moon chases after her. This though is ignoring the whole 900-some year old child thing that we hear about later on. Chibi-Chibi -- I honestly have no idea. It's assumed that she's around one and a half to two years old because the majority of the time all she says is chibi-chibi. Then again, because she is the pure and ultimate form of Sailor Moon, the age-margin could be giving or taking 1,000 years. |
